In our house we enjoy eating turkey all year. I know this seems strange in the US, but I really don’t see why we should only enjoy turkey in November and December.

Unfortunately, it can be difficult to find turkey outside of the winter months.

The turkey I found did not have the legs or wings, just the main part of the bird.

I roasted the turkey for about 45 minutes once I broke it down. This cooked it about 90% through.

I did have a little trouble with the breading. It just did not want to stick to the turkey pieces.

I would suggest lowering the heat on the skillet. Once I did that the breading stayed on a bit better.

This recipe gives you a nice way to enjoy turkey without having to roast an entire bird.
FRENCH FRIED TURKEY
1 Young Turkey
2 Teaspoons Salt
2 Eggs
2 Tablespoons Water
Bread Crumbs
Cut turkey into serving pieces. Season with salt and steam until nearly tender. Cool. Roll in fine crumbs, dip into egg beaten with water and roll again in crumbs. Fry in hot fat until brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
