Graham Crackers and Chocolate

Apparently, this recipe won 1st place in a baking competition in 1954.

After reading the recipe I really had no idea what to expect.

The batter layers are kind of like thick cookies. They are fairly soft, but stiff enough to hold up to the cracker.

The graham crackers do not stay crunchy. They soften and meld with the batter.

But you do get three distinct layers.

The bottom is a lovely chocolate, then the graham, the the chocolate chip layer.

They are quite amazing actually. There is enough chocolate to satisfy any chocolate lover. The graham crackers give them a little something different. We loved them really!
