Savory Cheesy Steak

This recipe turned out perfectly!

I seasoned my steaks with salt and pepper before placing them on the grill pan. I know the recipe didn’t call for this, but I hate under seasoned meat.

I set my broiler to high and placed the pan about 5 inches from the heat source.

I broiled them for 5 minutes, then turned them and broiled then 3 more minutes. My family likes medium rare steaks and I did not want to over cook them.

This timing worked perfectly with the additional time needed to melt the cheese.

The sour cream melts with the cheese to make a delicious cheesy sauce on each steak.

I used gorgonzola instead of roquefort. My grocer did not have roquefort the day I shopped, so I thought the gorgonzola would work just as well.

The steaks were perfectly cooked, and perfectly seasoned. The sour cream and cheese gave the tops a lovely “sauce.”
Great dish, great recipe!
