That's Not An Omelet

I am not really sure what to call this dish. But it certainly is NOT an omelet.

The only resemblance it has to an omelet is that it does contain eggs.

Basically, you make applesauce to start. I left the apples a little harder, so the apple mash had some nice apple chunks in it. The mixture was not too sweet, and the cinnamon gave it a nice flavor.

So the end result is a bit like an applesauce casserole. Or maybe baked apples.

You do not taste egg at all. I think the egg gives it a thicker consistency. But it doesn’t really set. I cut it into triangles. The triangles almost held together. Almost.. .

I won’t say it wasn’t good. But I am glad I made other food to go with it!
APPLE OMELET
5 Tart Apples
1/2 Tablespoon Butter
1/2 Cup Sugar
Dash Cinnamon
2 Eggs
Cook apples until very soft. Mash them and add butter, sugar, eggs and cinnamon. Bake in a 350 degree oven in a shallow pie tin until brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.
